Nightswimming 2

Part of the swimming pool series, Nightswimming captures an evening swim whilst on holiday.  Who hasn’t done this in their time?  Mike’s ability to paint water is undoubted, creating a dreamlike image where the villa backdrop is vividly represented in white, neutral tones, against the tropical evening darkness.  A familiarly used male figure is seen with his back to the swimmer….a couple enjoying time together, but apart for a moment.  An intriguing narrative open to interpretation.
